I love the rich warm tone of oiled teak, but how often should I have to oil my
furniture to keep it that way?

How do I place an order online?
All you have to do is click
the "Add to order" button located after each product detail. You can then either
click "Continue Shopping" or "Begin Checkout" at the bottom of the shopping cart
page. The "Sign In" page is where new customers create an account. You can only
create an account or sign in to your existing account after you have added an
item to your order and clicked the "Begin Checkout" button.
Is your web site secure?
Yes. This site has security
measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information
under our control. All orders are transmitted over secure Internet connections
using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption technology. All of your personal
information including your credit card information is stored in encrypted format
at all times. This Website, and more importantly all user information, is
further protected by a multi-layer firewall based security system.
Do you give special
discounts to the Trade?
We always welcome
designer’s, architects, builders, and resellers and discounts offered ranges
from 25% to 35% depending on the product and quantity.
How can I return a product?
All items are fully
inspected before leaving our warehouse. However, should an item get damaged
during shipment to you, notify us immediately and we will make arrangements for
the item to be picked up and replaced. We must however be notified within 2 days
of receipt of your product, so please check all items immediately on arrival.
If for some reason the product does not meet your expectation, just give us call
and our customer service staff will make the necessary arrangements for the
return, as long as the product is in its original condition. We ask that you
return the product in its original packaging
How long will it take to
receive my order?
Since most of the products
are carried in stock, shipment can usually be made 2-3 days after orders are
placed. Once your order is taken, we will send you an order confirmation within
one business day. Depending on which part of the country you’re in, most
products should arrive within 10 working days. If an item is not in stock we
will contact you with the expected delivery date.
Do you have any warranty on
your product?
Yes. All Jatique’s teak
furniture carries a 5 year limited manufacturer’s warranty to the original
purchaser against material defects and workmanship. For further information on

Do you take custom orders?
We primarily retail our
products, which are mainly stock items but have undertaken commercial projects
and custom orders that is within the realm of our work and design philosophy.

How do I care for my teak
furniture?
The short answer is that teak needs no care.
Untreated, natural teak (without oil) will weather to a handsome soft-silvery
patina within a year or so, depending on the amount of sun and weathering it
receives. The use of soapy water and a little bleach and soft brush or pad,
will clean away any accumulation of dirt. Finish by hosing it down with water.
Over the years, your furniture would weather gracefully but with quality teak,
you also have the option of bringing it back to its original state simply with
light sanding and a quick wash.
I love the rich warm tones of oiled teak, but how often should I have to oil my
furniture to keep it that way?
How often your furniture
needs oiling really depends on the amount or degree of exposure it is subjected
to outdoor conditions. If your furniture is under the shade most of the day,
say under a patio cover or lanai, then it would probably be more than 6 months
before you really need to thoroughly re-oil your furniture. If however, your
furniture is placed in an open area, totally exposed to the weather (sun, rain,
etc) then you would probably need oiling about once every 2-3 months. Except
for the occasional yearly oiling, if at all, ‘oiled’ teak furniture placed
indoors or in an enclosed area (not exposed to direct sunlight or rain) is
virtually maintenance free. See

Can I leave my furniture outside in the rain, sun, and snow all year round?
Absolutely. However, as
with all natural materials, the more it is exposed to the environment, the more
dirt and weathering it will get. This however, will not in anyway compromise the
structural integrity of your furniture.
